First song is ready!
It took me a while, to sort everything out, get into the mood and find exactly, what I want to sound like. But finally I made it! And the first song is ready. Well, the recordings are finished and I did some mix-versions until I was satisfied with the overall feeling.
Believe it or not – it’s “Johnny and Mary” from Robert Palmer.
I always was intrigued by the melancholy and intimacy of his version. But each time, I heard it, I also heard things, that aren’t in his version. I always wanted to do it different. So I did. It surely is not better – I honestly think, that no cover-version can ever be better than the original, because only the original is the original. Everything else is just a different approach. But it’s my approach and I like it. Have a listen and tell me, what you think.
